Abstract

Systematic reviews try to answer a specific question, employ a clearly specified strategy of searching and a rigurous and explicit inclusion criteria to include the primary studies, which makes them highly reproducible. In addition, when possible due to the characteristics of the primary studies, they are completed with a quantitative synthesis that is called meta-analysis.

Especialista en Pediatrí­a y sus áreas Especí­ficas desde 1991. Actualmente ejerzo en el Servicio de Gastroenterologí­a del Hospital Infantil Universitario La Paz, de Madrid.
Además, pertenezco al Grupo de Trabajo de Pediatrí­a Basada en la Evidencia, grupo compartido entre la Asociación Española de Pediatrí­a y la Asociación Española de Pediatrí­a de Atención Primaria.
