Left ventricular dysfunction and subsequent cardiovascular instability is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in patients admitted to ICUs. Hemodynamic monitoring allows information on cardiovascular status to be obtained, helping us to obtain an adequate diagnosis and to guide the therapy of patients admitted to these units. In this study, the authors intended to demonstrate the existence of an association between hemodynamic and echocardiographic parameters for hemodynamic evaluation in patients admitted to the ICU.
