Abstract

In the present COVID-19 pandemic, rapid sequence induction and intubation have a protagonic role that only existed in the Emergency Departments and to which the anesthesiologists on duty guard were accustomed. Succinylcholine is used again primarily in low and middle income countries. There are several differences between the classical and the modified RSI technique and different aspects are analyzed that make it preferred in the current epidemiological context.
