Abstract

Sample size calculation tries to estimate the number of participants that will be necessary to demonstrate the effect considered as clinically important, if it exists. In the case of survival studies, the calculation of the number of events that must be observed becomes more important, from which the number of participants required will be calculated.

Especialista en Pediatrí­a y sus áreas Especí­ficas desde 1991. Actualmente ejerzo en el Servicio de Gastroenterologí­a del Hospital Infantil Universitario La Paz, de Madrid.
