The analysis of qualitative variables is usually limited to low indexes such as their relative and cumulative frequencies or mode. However, there are indexes designed to study the variability of this type of variables, in a similar way it is done with quantitative variables, which tend to receive more attention. We describe some of these indexes that measure the variability of qualitative variables.
