Advantages of Total Intravenous Anesthesia in Neurosurgery

In recent times, total intravenous anesthesia has become the technique of choice for many surgical procedures, in which neuroprotection is essential for the neurological prognosis of patients.
Anesthesia in neurosurgery has specific objectives related to Neuroprotection on which the neurological prognosis depends. Neuronal damage can occur, not only by direct action of the surgeon but also as a consequence of inexperienced anesthetic management.
