El antecedente de intubación difícil se ha reconocido como uno de los predictores más importantes de dificultad de intubación. Sin embargo, los estudios desde los que se ha obtenido este dato manejan información referida por el propio paciente, no obtenida desde registros bien documentados.
En Dinamarca existe una base de datos que pretende recoger la información anestésica más relevante de todo paciente sometido a cualquier procedimiento quirúrgico en la nación.
