There is some growing evidence now that beta-blocker therapy (BB) may bring benefits for some patients with sepsis because it reduces the andrenergic response for stress. What it´s still unknown is the effect of maintenance of the therapy during the acute phase of sepsis; there´s no recommendation from clinic guidelines at this point.
