Abstract

A preventive analgesia strategy is increasingly being proposed with the aim of reducing one of the most frequent consequences after a surgical intervention; postoperative pain. Preventive analgesia is understood as the administration of analgesics before establishing harmful stimuli. Furthermore, with the growing problem related to the use of opioid analgesics, both in the US and in Europe, it would be interesting to reduce their consumption, and with it, their multiple adverse effects. In order to see which would be the best options and their benefits, a review of the latest articles found in the literature is carried out.
