The erector spinae plane block has become popular in recent years. It is very useful for analgesia and anesthesia of the chest wall, being very useful in breast resection surgery. The placement of continuous perfusion catheters facilitates the administration of subsequent doses, reducing the use of opioids and therefore the resulting side effects. In this way, pain control is optimized, obtaining better analgesia results, reducing nausea and vomiting and facilitating hospital discharge. The integrity of musculocutaneous flaps is compromised by episodes of vomiting, so proper control improves graft prognosis.
