Abstract

Many drugs are important at perioperative context. Anticoagulants and antiplatelet are two of the most problematic and risky drugs during surgery if they are not correctly managed, due to the difficult balance between thrombotic and hemorrhagic risk. Even more, the increase in the use of these drugs emphasizes the importance of the constant review and actualization of our attitude towards pre, intra and postoperative use of them in this context.

This review is based on the recomendations from the last consensus document of the Grupo de Trabajo de Trombosis Cardiovascular of Spanish Society of Cardiology, recognized by a wide range of scientific societies who participe allong the perioperative period including in one document the most relevant and actualized information.
