El fallo cardiaco agudo (FCA) es la primera causa de ingreso hospitalario no programado. A pesar de ello, en la actualidad su manejo queda guiado por terapias y procedimientos basados en opiniones de expertos sin suficiente evidencia [1]. Objetivo de la revisión: El presente trabajo de Mebazaa et al [2] propone, en ausencia de guías basadas en la evidencia, un protocolo de abordaje multidisciplinar tanto del FCA como del Shock Cardiogénico (SC) desde su atención prehospitalaria hasta su llegada a las Unidades de Críticos (UCC).
