Guide for Authors

Introduction

Revista Electrónica de AnestesiaR (ReAR) is the scientific publication of the Asociación Anestesia Reanimación España (AnestesiaR) and will consider for publication suitable articles related to anesthesia, intensive care medicine, emergency medicine and pain management.

The editorial process

The manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that they are being submitted to one journal at a time and have not been published, simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publication elsewhere

This journal operates a double blind review process. Initially each manuscript is reviewed by an Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific and technical flaws, or lack of a significant message will be rejected. Publication of articles in the journal is subject to peer review, papers are typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the papers. Both reviewers and authors will remain anonymous throughout the review process.

The Editor-in-Chief based on the comments from the reviewers takes a final decision on the manuscript. The authors will be informed about the reviewers' comments and acceptance/rejection of manuscript.

After acceptance the articles will be published on the AnestesiaR blog for comments. Between two weeks and a month after its publication on the blog, the period for receiving comments will close and the article will be configured and published with a permanent web link. The Editorial Board may elevate any comments it deems relevant to the category of publication (in correspondence format).

Authorship criteria

Authorship credit should be based only on substantial contributions to all of the following: (1) the conception and design of the study, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data, (2) drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content, (3) final approval of the version to be submitted.

Abstract of Critical review of articles and Clinical cases report in no more than 150 words.
