En ocasiones el abordaje quirúrgico frontal en neurocirugía impide usar el monitor de profundidad anestésica BIS. Con el propósito de valorar el comportamiento de dicho monitor con el sensor emplazado en la región occipital, y basados en la publicación de Shiraishi et al, los autores comparan los valores de BIS procedentes de dos localizaciones del sensor BIS® Quatro: frontal y occipital.
